Ripon gear up for city-wide yard sale

The phrase “One man’s is another man’s treasure” could easily apply to the upcoming City-Wide Yard Sale.
The annual City of Ripon event is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 8.
Director of Public Works Ted Johnston made that announcement at the recent City Council meeting.
He noted the City-Wide Yard Sale in the southwest parking lot at the Mistlin Sports Park is Ripon’s way of encouraging the recycling of those items that are still of value and may be of value to someone.
This event is the second of two City yard sales during the year, and is held on the second Saturday of October.
The first one — otherwise known as the Spring Yard Sale — was held last May.
The upcoming yard sale is scheduled from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Cost for space is $5 for resident (maximum spaces per person is three) and $10 for non-resident.
