The name of the 30-year-old Ripon Man who shot himself in his car earlier in the week has been released by the San Joaquin County Coroner as Cary Eisenberg.

Eisenberg had been found sitting in his car in the parking lot leading to the city’s bike bridge that crosses over the Stanislaus River entering Stanislaus County.

Ripon officers responded to the scene and turned the investigation over to Sheriff’s deputies who also serve as deputy coroners.
