When it comes to providing a good, solid education Ripon Unified means business.
Ripon Unified was one of 15 public school districts in California to be selected by the Educational Results Partnership and the Campaign for Business and Education excellence as a 2015 Honor Roll School District.
The honor comes on the heels of Ripona School being selected as a top performing elementary campus by the State Department of Education by earning the Golden Ribbon School Award.
The Honor Roll is part of a national effort to identify higher-performing schools and highlight successful practices that improve outcomes for students. School districts receiving this distinction have demonstrated consistent high levels of student academic achievement, improvement in achievement levels over time, and reduction in achievement gaps among student populations. For school districts with high schools, the Honor Roll recognition also includes measures of college readiness.
“Our staff works tirelessly to keep our focus on high expectations and student academic achievement and to continuously improve our practices,” noted Ripon Unified Superintendent Ziggy Robeson. “This hard work and dedication is paying off for all of our students.”
Business leaders involved in the endeavor such as Lee Blitch who serves as president of the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce noted “Honor Roll schools are getting their students on the path to a college degree and the financial security of a living wage job.”
