Silverado Nursery and Building Materials will host the monthly meeting of the Ripon Garden Club on Wednesday, May 7, starting at 10 a.m. at 460 South Stockton Ave., in Ripon.

The speaker will be Susan Ziegert. She has been with Silverado for seven years, the last three years in Ripon. She is the nursery manager and buyer for the Ripon site. She has a degree in landscape design and horticulture from American River College. Susan has been in the nursery business for 11 years. 

Ziegert will be presenting a program on container gardening. She will also be offering a hands on session after the meeting for anyone interested in doing their own pot. Plants should be purchased from Silverado. You may bring your own pot and soil, or you can purchase them from Silverado that morning.
