STOCKTON — The award-winning St. Mary’s High School Theatre Department will be presenting a jewel of the American theatre, the comedy classic Once in a Lifetime, Oct. 8-16  at Stockton Civic Theatre.

Set in glitzy 1920’s Hollywood, Once in a Lifetime is a hilarious satire of the movie business from the brilliant comedy writing duo of George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart. It’s the story of a trio of down-and-out New York Vaudeville performers who journey Westward to Tinseltown, where they start an elocution school for silent film stars struggling to transition to talking pictures.

Performances are on Saturday, Oct. 8, at 8 p.m.; Sunday, Oct. 9 at 2 p.m.; Friday, Oct. 14 at 8 p.m.; Saturday, Oct.15, at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.; and Sunday, Oct. 16, at 2 p.m. Stockton Civic Theatre is located at 2312 Rosemarie Lane in Stockton.
