POMONA, Calif. (AP) — A small plane has crashed onto the roof of a building in Southern California, sending at least one person to the hospital.

The Federal Aviation Administration said the single-engine Piper PA-28 went down under unknown circumstances Sunday afternoon and ended on the top of a commercial building in Pomona.

Agency spokesman Ian Gregor said he couldn’t immediately confirm how many people were on bard but at least one was taken to the hospital.

An aerial shot from a KNBC-TV news helicopter shows the nose of the plane punching a hole through the roof. There was no sign of smoke or fire.
