PARADISE (AP) — Falling trees killed two people in separate incidents as winds topped 60 mph in Northern California.
A person in a car in a residential neighborhood in the small town of Paradise died Tuesday when a tree fell on the vehicle. About 3 ½ miles away, another person was killed after a tree tumbled into a home.
The National Weather Service reports that the strong winds also toppled several other trees onto homes, streets, cars and power lines.
