A daring thief made off with more than $500 in cash Monday afternoon from the office of Mountain Mike’s Pizza on North Main Street at Louise Avenue making it in and out of the business without being seen.

The man reportedly parked in front of the restaurant shortly before 4 p.m. He was first noticed looking into the windows of Mike’s Restaurant located next to the pizza parlor.  He was not seen, however, as he went into the back office where he found cash for the drawers sitting on a table.

He apparently just scooped it up and exited the building, driving away in what appeared to be a light blue or silver Chrysler Sebring-type sedan and drove away.  It was a review of the surveillance camera video tape by owner Jeff Liotard that provided most of the evidence.
