One lucky guest at the 45th annual Holiday Luncheon and Crafts Faire of St. Anthony of Padua School will go home with a blue topaz pendant surrounded by canary diamonds from New York Diamonds in Manteca.

The jewelry will be the grand prize at the drawing to be held during the luncheon and crafts faire set for Wednesday, Nov. 9, from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the school gym. It is just one of many big-ticket items that will be given away to the lucky winners.

Tickets for the drawing will be available the day of the event; however, advance tickets can be purchased at the St. Anthony’s School Office, Fremont Avenue corner Sutter Street, said DeAnna Nunes who is sharing co-chairman duties this year with fellow parent Jennifer Carranza. The tickets are $1 apiece.

Among the prizes will be a teeth whitening by Manteca dentist Pamela Andrews and a one-of-a-kind hand-crafted quilt made out of recycled school uniform fabrics with a St. Anthony’s School theme. The quilter and donor of this item is Annie Borrelli whose children attended the parochial school, and whose grandchildren are now also enrolled here.

Some two-dozen arts and crafts booth will be featured where guests will be able to head start their Christmas shopping. New this year will be a bake-sale booth of the St. Anthony’s School with proceeds to go to a classroom project.

The event theme this year is Sugar Plum Dreams with centerpieces and overall décor revolving around it.

Luncheon tickets, donated by Sadie’s Salon, are $15 each for adults, $10 for seniors and children. The raffle tickets are donated this year by Ted and Rita Simas.

Tickets can be purchased at the school office on Fremont Street, corner Sutter Street. Additional details about the luncheon can be obtained by calling the school office at 823-4513, DeAnna Nunes at 992-2843, or Jennifer  Carranza at 479-4617.
