Universal Dance Company voted Manteca’s “Best Dance Studio 2009” is ready to begin its 10-year anniversary of competition dance.
Led by Director Nicole Cedano, the competition team has traveled throughout California and Nevada this year compiling numerous Top First Place, Judges Awards, Top 10 Overalls and a few judges’ invitations to dance in New York this past summer.
The Senior Dance team members Rebecca, Vanessa, Christina, Mackie, Adrienne, Morgan and Taylor compete in jazz and hip hop while the Petite Dance team members Isabella, Gabby, Elizabeth, Cipriana, Juliya and Rochelle compete with solos, duets, and groups in tap, jazz and hip hop.
The UDC competition team shined at the MGM Grand Las Vegas for the K.A.P. Invitation National Dance Finals in July, coming home with several top trophies and a special congratulations to the Senior Hip Hop team making it into the Top 5 overall out of 300-plus routines.
Universal Dance Company has now begun its 2009-10 registration for competition and mainstream dancers in hip hop, jazz, tap, modern and is currently looking for dancers for their Dec. 12 trip to Anaheim for their annual “Dance the Magic” parade down Main Street in Disneyland.
Universal Dance Company is proud to be the studio of choice for Manteca’s reigning 2009 Mini Miss Manteca, Gabrielle Fermin and 2007 Mini Miss Manteca, Cipriana Love Lopez (first to hold this title.) Cipriana is also the 2009 Miss Young Winterfest.
The studio is located at 702 W. Yosemite and is open to both girls and boys of all ages. Call 824-9886 for more information.
