LATHROP — Lathrop is celebrating Veteran’s Day on Friday, Nov. 11, at 11 a.m. at Manuel Valverde Park.

Manuel Valverde Park is located at 15557 Fifth Street, Lathrop. This ceremony will honor Lathrop’s veterans, and the guest speaker is Chief Petty Officer John Bacon, United States Navy, retired. He is one of the remaining survivors of Pearl Harbor. The Veteran’s Memorial Committee is inviting all Lathrop veterans, family and friends to attend.

Lathrop School’s choir will be performing and the Lathrop High JROTC will do the Posting of Colors. The Memorial is located near the Senior Center and adjacent to the parking lot.
