Manteca Police said a man, 34, who had been out for a walk at 11 p.m. on Thursday was robbed and knifed on his arm by a group of four men accosted him near Spreckels Avenue and Phoenix Drive.

The victim told officers the four pulled up alongside him and three Hispanic males exited the vehicle and demanded he give them everything he had.  One suspect appeared to have a folding knife in his right hand while another suspect put a knife to the victim’s throat and then stabbed him in the upper right arm.  The trio took his necklace, earrings, bracelet and cash, he said.  The men reportedly got back into their silver, mid-size SUV and fled the area, last seen northbound on Commerce Avenue, according to officers.

They were reportedly in their late 20’s to early ‘30s.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information about the crime is urged to contact the Manteca Police Department at 209.456.8101 or Crime Stoppers at 209.823.4636.
