Caswell State Park is in its winter mode which means plenty of green grass, fallen leaves, and tranquility. The crowds – standard for warm weather at the unique riparian woodlands park along the Stanislaus River at the southern end of Austin Road south of Manteca – are nowhere  in sight as demonstrated during a visit Saturday.
