Billy Ray Deaver, 46, passed away on May 18, 2010 at Kaiser Foundation Hospital in Sacramento.  He was born on December 3, 1963 in Watsonville, California, to Raymond and Peggy Deaver.  He was a resident of El Dorado for 5 years and prior Rancho Cordova for 20 years.

Billy was a veteran of the U.S. Army where he served for 3 years as an M.P. in Germany.  

He worked for Correctional Rehabilitation at C.S.P. Sacramento for 24 years.  He was awarded the “Medal of Valor” for his heroic efforts.  Billy was a die-hard San Francisco 49er’s fan and held season tickets where he rode the #3 Party Bus to and from the games.  He was known as the Chicken Wing Man on the bus.  He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his kids and his dogs.  He graduated from Manteca High School in 1982 where he participated on the football team.

Billy is survived by his loving wife Linda Deaver; 3 sons, Joey Deaver and wife Julie, Jeffrey Deaver, Christopher Deaver, all of Fayetteville, NC, and one special daughter Krystle Brakebill and husband Dwayne of Carthage, NY.  He was blessed with two grandchildren, Joey Deaver Jr. and Teagon Brakebill; 3 special brothers, Sean Deaver of Manteca, Brian Deaver and wife Windie of Stockton, Bradley Deaver and his wife, Lynn of Oregon. Billy also leaves behind his loving and very special parents Raymond and Peggy Deaver of Manteca and in-laws, George and Alta Davis of North Highlands.

Billy will be remembered as a loving husband, son, father, grandfather, brother, friend with a great sense of humor and a handsome smile.  He will be missed dearly by all who knew him.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of choice.

A visitation will be held on Friday, May 21, 2010 from 1 to 5 p.m. at PL Fry & Son Funeral Home.  Celebration of Life service will be on Saturday, May 22, 2010 at 10 a.m. at PL Fry & Son Funeral Home, 290 North Union Road, Manteca. Final resting place will be Lakewood Memorial Cemetery, 900 Santa Fe Avenue, Hughson.
