C. Dean Price, 82, entered into rest Sunday, January 27, 2013 at Alexander Cohen Hospice House in Hughson.  He was born in Pawnee, Oklahoma on March 18, 1930.  He joins his loving wife of 57 years June Price in heaven.

   Dean leaves behind his children, Patti Black (Delmar) of Manteca; Lora Copher (Dan) of Orangevale; Lonnie Price (Brenda) of Sacramento; Susie Paul (Dwayne) of Lathrop and Randy Price (Bridget) of Turlock. He has thirteen grandchildren, Tricia, Jason, John, Sara, Daniel, Joe, April, Cody, Joni, Wendy, Travis, Connor and Trevor, 10 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.  In addition Dean leaves his brother Carl Price of Marysville.

   Dean was a United States Veteran serving his country proudly through the Air Force during the Korean War while stationed in Alaska. Dean was an educator for most of his life. He began teaching in public schools and became a teaching principal. He held a masters degree in education and one in reading instruction. He taught at the California Youth Authority for twenty years.  He coached basketball and football. He enjoyed hunting and traveling. He also enjoyed growing a garden of vegetables and raising fruit trees. He loved the tranquility of the outdoors as he spent time hunting and fishing. Dean loved country music.  He was proud of being traditional and lived a pretty conservative life style. He enjoyed the company of his dogs. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend. He will be missed.

   Arrangements for Mr. Price are under the direction of   P.L. Fry and Son Funeral Home, 290 North Union Road, Manteca. He will be laid to rest at San Joaquin National Cemetery, 32053 McCabe Road, Santa Nella, CA on Friday, February 1, 2013 at 10:00 am.
