Charles Edgar Morrish, Jr., passed away on Thursday, September 20, 2012, in Stockton, California, at the age of 70. He was a graduate of St. Mary’s College in Moraga, California, a veteran of the United States Air Force and a longtime resident of the San Francisco Bay area, including more than 20 years in Dublin. “Chuck” had a passion for music, and was a longtime fixture on the piano bench for the choir at St. Raymond’s Catholic Church. He was also an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed nothing more than the opportunity to go camping and hiking with family and friends in the Sierra Nevada Mountains.

Charles is survived by the mother of his children, Margaret Carol Morrish of Dublin, California, his daughter, Jennifer Winding, and her husband, Eric, of Brentwood, California, his daughter, Kathleen Clafton, and her husband, Matthew, of Reno, Nevada, his son, Jason Robert Morrish, and his wife, Daniele, of Manteca, California, and his son, Christian James Morrish of Dublin, California. He is also survived by his seven beloved grandchildren Brandon Leon, Riley Clafton, Justin Morrish, Adam Winding, Zachary Clafton, Carolyn Morrish and Allison Winding, as well as scores of cousins, in-laws and friends. Charles was preceded in death by his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Charles E. Morrish, Sr., and his brother, Robert C. Morrish.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, October 12, 2012, at 2:00 p.m., at the Fry Family Chapel, 290 N. Union Road in Manteca, California.

These conservancies exist to sustain, protect and preserve the natural beauty of two of Chuck’s most beloved vacation spots in the Sierras: Yosemite National Park and Lake Tahoe.
