Clarence Anthony Edwards “Ed” 90, of Manteca, passed away Sunday, November 13, 2016. He lived in Manteca his entire life. 
   Ed is survived by his wife Shirley of 55 years, daughters Laurie Jacobsen, Kim Haight, sons Forrest Edwards, Devon Bolt and 14 loving grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family.
   Ed was a WWII veteran and retired from Tracy Army Depot. After retirement from the government he became a beekeeper.  He was very passionate about nature and our environment.  He could tell you the name of any plant or bird.  He was a long time member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church.
  Visitation will be held at P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home, 290 N. Union Rd., Manteca, on Friday, November 18, 2016,  3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and a second visitation will be held on Saturday morning November 19, 2016 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Funeral services will follow at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 910 E. North St., Manteca, at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 19, 2016 followed by refreshments in the Fireside room.
