Cynthia (Beattie) Garcia, 78-years-old and a native and resident of French Camp, CA., passed away peacefully on April 25, 2010. She was preceded in death by parents L. Cleveland and Alice Beattie, and her siblings “Junior” and Patricia “Pat” Beattie. She is survived by her only child, Kathleen “Kathy” Garcia from her prior marriage to Leo Garcia.  Cynthia was a graduate of French Camp Elementary and Manteca High School. She owned and operated the family business “Beattie’s Grocery” the majority of her life.

A memorial gathering and lunch for friends and family will be held Sunday, May 2, 2010 from noon to 3 p.m. at the home of family friends: 3124 La Costa Lane, Modesto, CA. No flowers or plants please.
