Daniel Ensey, 81, entered into rest on Wednesday, March 17, in Manteca. He was born on January 8, 1929 in Redlands, California. Daniel joins his beloved wife in heaven Ethel M. Ensey.

A resident of Manteca for 26 years, Daniel is survived by his beloved children; Gordon C. Ensey of Ok., Cerita Pauley of Manteca, Tony L. Ensey of AZ., and David W. Ensey of Manteca. He leaves behind his grandchildren who he loved deeply; Tom Henry, Jeff Zellner, Amber Wallwork, Camron, Erica, Emily, and Andrew Ensey and 11 great-grandchildren. In addition Daniel has 2 surviving siblings David Ensey of Stevenson, Ca., and Leona Storts of Turlock.

Daniel was employed at Sharpes Army Depot and retired after 24 years of service. In his younger years he enjoyed traveling with his family, fishing, and camping. He was well known for being the involved dad while his children were growing up. He enjoyed building the high school floats, supporting sport activities, and just being one of the kids. He loved holiday’s; being in the spirit of family togetherness always made him smile. Daniel was a very easy going man and being in his garden enjoying the peacefulness of the humming birds always made him feel at ease. Daniel will be remembered for his patience, his giving nature and for his ability of being such an amazing father and grandfather. He will be missed.

Mr. Ensey’s services are being handled by P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home of Manteca. His visitation will be on Wednesday March 24, at 1 to 5 p.m. held at P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home 290 N. Union Road, Manteca. He will be laid to rest in a full military graveside service at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Gustine, California on Thursday, March 25, at 12:30 p.m.  An online guest book is available for condolences at www.plfryandson.com.
