David “Jimmy” Smith, age 72, passed away at home on Wednesday, March 5, in Stockton, CA. He was born on April 17, 1941, in Oakdale, CA to his parents, Mr. and Mrs. David and Hazel Smith. He was the oldest of three children.    Jimmy was self employed as a landscaper for 12 years. He was a member of  both the  Nazarene Church and Sequoia Heights Baptist Church of Manteca.  He enjoyed everything about trains, jigsaw puzzles, animals, talking to people and watching old westerns.       Jimmy will be remembered by his loving sisters; Evelyn Elliott, and Edith Rowe; his nephew Leslie Rowe; niece April Copeland; as well as his grandnephew and grandnieces. Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents David and Hazel Smith. 
   Relatives and friends are invited to attend a grave side service for Jimmy at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 11, at Citizens Cemetery, 204 East B Street, Oakdale, Calif. 95361.
   In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Hospice House of San Joaquin or to a charity of your choice.
