Delbert E. Henry, a resident of Manteca, CA, for 29 years, passed away peacefully in his home on Tuesday, July 10, 2018.  He was born on April 7, 1932, in Black Oak, AR to the late Earnest and Carrie Henry.  

   “Del” is preceded in death by his grandson, Justin Henry, and his siblings.  Mr. Henry is survived by his family, wife of 62 years, Betty Henry, children, David (Donna) Henry and Debbie (Blake) Swint, both of Ripon, CA.  He was blessed with grandchildren, Lindsay (Rodney II) Shankles, Erica Henry, Corey Swint, Mikayla Henry, Jessica Herrera and Rebecca Swint, and great-grandchildren, River and Raedin Shankles and Harper Swint.  Del also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

  Del served in the Army in his younger years, then went on to become a machinist where he was self-employed for over 50 years.  He enjoyed converting buses into motorhomes, loved going to breakfast and enjoyed attending church.  Nagging his daughter, and joking around, were some of his favorite pastimes.  Mr. Henry also loved traveling the country in his motorhome with his wife, and family.

   P.L. Fry & Son is honored to be serving the Henry family.  A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 20, 2018, at 12:00 p.m. at P.L. Fry and Son Chapel, 290 N. Union Rd., Manteca.  Burial will follow at the Tracy Public Cemetery, 501 E. Schulte Rd., Tracy. An online guest book for remembrances and condolences is available at www.plfryandson.com.
