Delmar Otten was born on April 29, 1931. He lived most of his childhood in Doon, Iowa.
At age 20 he moved to California. He worked 43 years at Nestle, had a photography business and later became a real estate broker. He volunteered as an elder and Sunday School Superintendent for Calvary Church, President of the Senior Center, and a VIP for the Ripon Police Dept.
Delmar left behind his wife Katherine, his children, Diane (Mike) Bynum, Debbie (Frank) Vander Plaats, Steve (who passed this March) (Jodi) Otten, Don (Theresa), nine grandchildren, nine great- grandchildren, his sisters, Dawn Pehrson, and Katheryn Boersma (who passed November 20).
He was preceded in death by his two year old sister Donna and his parents Arthur and Maggie Otten.
Delmar passed away on May 5, 2020. A celebration of life will be on May 5, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Reformed Church in Ripon. Any remembrances can be made to Bethany Home.
