Diane L. Campi passed away after a horse riding accident on Friday, Aug. 14.

Her husband, Tim, two children, Destiny and Nick, survive her.  In addition to her mother, three sisters and two brothers, she leaves those she felt were like family in the San Joaquin County 4-H, the New Hope Church, Bunko and many others. Her father and one brother preceded her in death.

Diane’s passion for life was matched only by her zest for living it.  She always had a quick smile, kind word and an eye for a bargain.  She was an avid horsewoman and spent some of her happiest days on the back of a horse, riding and training.

As a 4-H Domestic Exchange leader and advisor she touched the lives of countless children both in this county and others around the country.  Her monthly home groups were famous for mixing biblical teachings and real life experiences, and no one hosted a bunko night quite the same way she did.

She loved the way her life had turned out, riding horses almost everyday and going to work at the several jobs she loved.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 23, at New Hope Church at 17218 Comconex Road, Manteca.  A reception and celebration of Diane’s life will follow at the Campi family home.

All who knew and loved her will miss her tireless energy.
