Dorothy-Azevedo gs

Dorothy D. Azevedo, 81, entered into rest on May 7, 2012 in Hughson, California. She was born on October 7, 1930 in Ross, California to the late Mr. and Mrs. Abraham and Anna Sanchez. Dorothy joins her parents in heaven along with husband Alfred Azevedo as well as her siblings Rosilie Thornhill, Shirley Russell and Joe Todd.

Mrs. Azevedo is survived by her children Donald Wills (Charlene), Connie Harris (Larry) and David Azevedo (Betsy). She was blessed with two granddaughters Heather Allyson Harris and Kathryn Elizabeth Azevedo. She has one great-grandson Landen Beaudrow. She has one surviving sister Sharlene Sherman.

Dorothy was a silk finisher for various dry cleaners for over 25 years. She was a member of the Sportsmen Club of Manteca and Escalon. She loved the outdoors, racing boats her husband built, and fishing. Her favorite fishing partner was her husband Alfred; together they enjoyed the peacefulness of the water and the excitement of who would catch the first bite of the day. She enjoyed shopping and catching the latest movie at the theater. Dorothy was best known to her family as the “animal whisperer.” She had many different types of exotic animals as pets throughout her lifetime. Above all Dorothy cherished spending time with her children and her grandchildren; she loved them unconditionally as she supported them in everything they did. Dorothy will be remembered as a loving kind lady who was accepting to all who crossed her paths. She will be deeply missed.
