Dorothy L. Cardoza Indelicato, age 84, passed away on May 5, 2017 in Stockton, CA. She was born in San Leandro, CA on April 19, 1933 to Mary and Joe Cardoza.  Dorothy joins her parents and granddaughter, Jeanette Mathews, in heaven.     She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Vincent Indelicato, children Marie Mathews and husband Kim, Robert Indelicato and wife Leslie, brother Edward Cardoza and wife Dolores, and four grandchildren: Stephen Mathews, Mollie Bloudoff-Indelicato, Katie Bloudoff-Indelicato, Kyle Bloudoff-Indelicato, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.
   Dorothy embraced opportunities for community service and held active roles in the Soroptimist International, Manteca Chamber of Commerce, Manteca Visitor and Convention Bureau, Manteca Mayor’s Committee on the Arts, Stockton Symphony Comes to Manteca, St. Dominic’s Hospital Council, Delta College Foundation and many others. 
   She was the official family historian and took great pride in documenting her family history to ensure future generations appreciated their family heritage.  She co-authored the family cookbook, an accomplishment that was especially gratifying, which chronicles family history told through stories and traditional family recipes.
   Dorothy attended Manteca schools and graduated from Stockton College.  She began working at Delicato Winery in 1956, served on the Family Board of Directors, was an active member of the Audit and Finance Committee, as well as, Corporate Treasurer, of Delicato Winery.  
   Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 10, from
1-5 p.m. at P.L. Fry & Son, 290 N. Union Road, Manteca.
    Mass will be held Thursday, May 11, at 11 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 505 E. North Street, Manteca. Private interment at  Park View Cemetery, Manteca.
