Effie leaves behind her children; Gene Silver and wife Diane of Manteca, Jennifer “Lee” Mankowski of Ohio and Rob Silver and wife Michelle of Ohio. She was blessed with 8 grandchildren; Chris, Randy, Scott, Lori, Michael, Kevin, Brandon, Rachael and 9 great grandbabies; Meagan, Stuart, Joshua, Tara, Jocelyn, Reid, Drew, Wesley and Justin.

Effie lovingly known to her family and friends as Betty was a resident of Ohio for the most part of her life and became a resident of Manteca in the early 90’s. She worked doing ceramic work which was an art that came naturally to her.

Betty was an excellent card player, there was never a game to difficult or an opponent she was not willing to challenge. Betty never met a stranger, as she became an instant friend to all. At her 92 years she would make an effort to go visit the elderly at the nursing home, because Betty was truly young at heart and never thought of herself as an elderly woman. She will be remembered as being a loving and adorable mother a nurturing grandmother and for having a pure and honest soul. She will be missed dearly.
