Elia Maria Dovichi, 87, entered into rest on April 1, 2012 in Manteca, California. She was born on November 30, 1924 in Italy. She joins her parents in heaven as well as her husband Marino Dovichi and two brothers and one sister.

Elia is survived by her one son Enrico Dovichi and his wife Gloria. She was blessed with two grandchildren Julie Day and husband Michael and Michael Dovichi and wife Jenifer and one great-grandson Tayden Dovichi. In addition Elia has one sister in law Teresa Pera and her husband Franco who survive her as well as one niece Tina Risso and her husband Frank and their three children Brian Eric and Cristina.

Elia originated from Italy where she spent to first 30 years of her life. She then moved to Manteca raising her family as a homemaker for 57 years. She was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church and a member of ICF #39 for over 40 years. Elia enjoyed keeping her home just perfect for her family. She loved gardening, crocheting and knitting. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren making every moment special. Elia will be remembered for her sweet spirit and her kind heart, she will be missed.

P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Dovichi family. A visitation will be held on Tuesday April 3, 2012 from 2 to 5:30 p.m. held at P.L .Fry & Son Funeral Home 290 N. Union Road, Manteca. A mass will be held on Wednesday April 4, 2012 at 11 a.m. held at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church 525 E. North St. Manteca. She will be laid to rest with her beloved husband at St. John’s Catholic Mausoleum.
