Eugene E. (Gene) Young, entered into rest on September 27, 2013 in Manteca. He was born on July 20, 1933 in Spooner, Wisconsin. He joins his wife in heaven Donna Young as well as, his son David E. Young. He was a resident of Manteca for 53 years.

Mr. Young is survived by his two sons Paul Young (Mary Ann) and Mark Young (Stephanie). He was blessed by seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. In addition, he is survived by four siblings, Shelia Christianson, Patty Hansen, Loretta Macht and Eileen Jones.

Gene was retired from the military after serving his country for 39 years. He was a member of the American Legion and the Warrant Officers Association of California. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and spending time at the Manteca Senior Center. Gene was family oriented and had a wonderful sense of humor. He will be missed.

P.L .Fry & Son is honored to be serving the Young family. A visitation will be held on Friday, October 4, 2013, from 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. held at P.L .Fry & Son, 290 N. Union Rd., Manteca. A service will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2013 at P.L. Fry & Son Chapel at 10:00 a.m. followed by a graveside service at East Union Cemetery.
