Evelyn Joyce Burns passed away peacefully on September 10, 2021 in Modesto at the age of 88.  Joyce was born on May 17, 1933 to parents, Clifton and Opal Ingram in Arkansas.
   She was a resident of Apple Valley, California for many years before settling in Ripon for the last two years of her life.  Joyce loved to read and watch movies.  She was a fan of old westerns, especially The Virginian and  Gun Smoke but her absolute favorite was Walker, Texas Ranger.  Joyce was a true southern woman who devoted her life to her husband and taking care of her family.  Even after they were grown, Joyce asked her kids to call her every day to check in.     She will be remembered for her kind demeanor, her selflessness and loyalty to her family and friends.
   Joyce leaves behind her children, Jamie Miller (Jack), Mark Burns (Norma) and Michael Burns (Vicki), her grandchildren, Joel Miller (Madison), Jillian Skelton (Christopher), Megan Coleman (Tony), Justin Burns (Jamie) and Tony Alford, and her great-grandchildren, Ryleigh and Kinsely Miller, Olivia Skelton, Naomi and Nyla Coleman, Eli, Sydney, Hope and Sloan Burns, Cherokee Jackson and Wade and Jade Alfrod.
