Evelyn Noreen Love, 86, went home to be with the Lord on Feb. 8, 2011 in Manteca.

She was born on August 12, 1924 in Oklahoma to the late Albert and Rubbie Hodges. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Charles Love, her son Richard Love and her great grandson Benjamin Soares.

She leaves behind her children Ron Love and his wife Dina of Manteca, and her daughter Judy Soares, originally from Manteca;  her grandchildren Robert Love and his wife Pam of Nebraska, Teri Taylor and her husband Brick of Manteca, Tony Soares and his wife Deanna of Manteca, Ernie Soares and his wife Liz of New York, and Ricky and Charlene Love of Oroville; and her great-grandchildren Becky and Junior Taylor, Miranda and Tianna Soares, Sabin Soares, John Boyle and his wife Jennifer.

Her greatest love was being a homemaker and raising her family. She also loved working on heliocopters at the Sharpe Depot during the ‘60s and she was a life-long member of the Church of Christ.

Her last few years were spent living at Manteca Care and Rehab, where she loved the activities and roaming around the whole place in her wheelchair flashing that wonderful smile of hers to everyone. We would like to thank everyone there for taking such great care of her and showing her so much love. She was known as “Grandma Love” to so many and will be truly missed but always in our hearts.
