Fern Maxine Farley-Hartwell- was born on August 18, 1916 in Agra, Kansas and entered into heaven on October 8, 2011. At the age of 14 Fern and family settled in Manteca. Fern moved her family to Stockton and years later retired from the dry cleaning business and moved to Elk Grove to be closer to family. Fern enjoyed shopping, ceramics, collecting dolls, her dog, and spending time with family.

Fern is survived by her daughters, Joann Faragasso and Sharon Kohl; grandchildren Kevin Coldani, Craig Jackson and Michelle Wintsch; great grandchildren Sterling and Shayln Coldani. Fern is preceeded in death by her sister Betty Seibel, and brother Bud "Mugsy" Farley.

The family would like to thank everyone for all their prayers and support. There will be a service on October 15, 2011 starting at 9:30 a.m. at Park View Cemetary, 3991 E. French Camp Rd., Manteca.
