Fred L Sullivan,  82, passed away peacefully at his residence in Manteca on July 14.

Fred was born to James Francis Sullivan and Mary Margaret Pender in Jamaica, NY. He was a proud World War II veteran serving in the Army Air Corps.

After earning his mechanical engineering degree he took a position at IBM retiring after 32 years. He loved many things in life, mostly spending time with family and friends at large gatherings. He loved spreading his cheer making sure everyone felt very welcome.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Shirley M. Sullivan of Manteca, sons James F. Sullivan of San Jose, Michael W. Sullivan of Manteca, daughters Kathleen M. Karmendy of  Sutter Creek, Patti A. Foster of Tracy, Eileen M. Sullivan of Lodi, 14 grand children; and 8 great-grand children.

He was preceded in death by son Dennis P. Sullivan.  

Funeral Services were conducted by Chaplin Brian Richardson at Park View Cemetery, 3661 E. French Camp Road, Manteca , on July 17. He will be missed by all.
