Fredrick Joseph McKenzie, 96, entered into rest on November 24, 2016 in Manteca. He was born on December 3, 1919 in Stockton, California.
   Fred leaves behind his children, Fredrick “Mack” McKenzie of Manteca and Jerry Reynolds of Idaho.
He was blessed with five grandchildren, Ida, Debbie, Sylvia, Todd and Jerri and several great-grandchildren. Fred leaves his longtime companion Tillie Rallios.
   Fred was a United States veteran, surviving his country proudly through the Navy.
He enjoyed traveling and going to his favorite restaurant “Johnny’s” where he was always greeted by his friends. He kept his garden immaculate and grew his own tomatoes for his famous tomatoe soup. Fred was social, and his personality was vibrant and charismatic. He made new friends and would do anything for anyone. He will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, companion and friend. He will be truly missed.
   P.L. Fry is honored to serve the McKenzie family. A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at P.L. Fry and Son, 290 North Union Road, Manteca.  A chapel service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, December 2, 2016 at P.L. Fry and Son, Manteca. He will be laid to rest with full military honors at Parkview Cemetery, 3661 East French Camp Road, French Camp.
