George Augustus Brum, 88, passed away on September 1, 2018 in his home in Manteca, CA, surrounded by his family.

   George was born on March 21,1930 in Ripon, CA. He graduated from Ripon High School in1948. He began working at Union Planing Mill in Stockton, CA, at age 18 and retired from there at 

age 62. George took a break and served in the US Navy from 1950-1954. George and Mary started their life July 24, 1971. The Brums settled in Manteca, CA, where they raised their family.

   George is survived by his wife, Mary Brum. Brother, Joe Brum. His children, Leanne Brum (Terri), 

Lisa Brum-Johnson (Rich), James Brum (Gayleenya) and Kevin Brum. Grandchildren, Branae Owens 

(Casey), Jenith Lee, Anthony Brum, Nicholas Johnson, Ricky Brum, Jake Johnson, Lila Brum, Lydia 

Sanchez, Maggie Brum. Great-grandchildren, Dylan Owens and Madisyn Owens. Also, numerous nieces, 

nephews and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Constance Brum, his brother, 

Frank Brum, and his grandson, Ira Brum.

George was the friendliest guy you will ever meet, there wasn’t a person he didn’t like. He enjoyed spending time with his family, watching sports and gardening. He will be missed by so many.

   A private celebration of life was held by his family.
