Henk was born in the Haarlemmermeer, The Netherlands. He immigrated to the USA in 1950.
   He lived and worked in Minnesota for seven years and then moved to Ripon, CA where he was employed at Nestle and Simpson Paper. He retired from Fox River Paper in 2000.
   He was preceded in death by his parents Pieter and Geertje Gaalswijk, his brothers Piet and Gerard and his sisters Marijka and Eep.
   He is survided by his wife Nellie and his daughter Cathi (Lou) Varn; his sons Henk (Roberta) Gaalswyk and John (Kathy) Gaalswyk. his grandchildren Andrea (Bryan),Wilson, Louie (Jessica) Varni, Kara, Krysta, Henk, James and Seth Gaalswyk. His greatgrandchildren Nolan and Camdyn Wilson.
   He is also survived by his brothers Cor Gaalswijk and Andre Gaalswijk and his sister Geer (Aart) Tijssen.
    A visitation will be held Monday, December 1, 2014, from 5-7 p.m. at Deegan Ripon Memorial Chapel.
    The funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 2, 2014, at 10 a.m.
