Jim Joseph Vossos, 87, entered into rest on November 8, 2011 in Manteca, CA. He was born on July 24, 1924 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Andrew and Annie Vossos in Manteca. He joins his parents in heaven as well as his wife of 30 years Helen Vossos and his sister Rose Coelho.

Jim is survived by his three daughters; Cathy Robinett and husband Jim of Manteca, Susan Winters and husband Duane of Manteca and Nancy Vossos and husband John Christian of Auburn. He is also survived by the mother of his children Jeanne Troglia. He was blessed with three granddaughters; Dayna Boyd and her husband Richard, Mindi Machado and her husband Eddie and Jeanine Winters. He has one great-granddaughter Madi Boyd. In addition Jim has one surviving sister Helen Wilhelm and her husband Ted as well as many nieces and nephews.

Jim was a farmer for over 70 years. While farming, he also worked for Campora Gas in Stockton for 30 year where he enjoyed his many friendships with colleagues and customers. In the 1940's Jim proudly entered into the United States Navy where he stands as a WWII veteran today. Jim loved nature and since the 1930's every family vacation every year was at Yosemite National Park. He had a soft heart for animals as he loved taking care of his dogs. He looked forward to his daily routine in taking his walks with his pal Carl Jacobson.  The simple things in life always gave Jim great pleasure. His philosophy is life was always "Make the best of life even in a bad situation." Jim always gave the gift of time to his family. He always made an opportunity in creating special memories with his daughters and granddaughters. Jim will be remembered for his kind heart and his positive attitude towards others. He will be missed.

P.L. Fry & Son is honored to be serving the Vossos family. A visitation will be held on Monday November 14, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. followed by a celebration of  life service at 1:00 p.m. both held at P.L. Fry 290 N. Union Rd. Manteca. He will be laid to rest at Park View Cemetery. In lieu of  flowers, donations can be sent to any animal shelter.
