Jimmy D. Miller, age 67, passed away on October 2, 2012 at Community Hospice House in Hughson, CA after a long battle with liver disease.

Jimmy was born to Morris and Laverne Miller on June 12, 1945 and lived in Ripon all his life. He attended Ripon High School and went on to serve proudly in the United States Navy. In 1969 he married his wife, Marianne Slikker, and they were blessed with two beautiful daughters. He was a long time employee of Franzia Winery in Ripon as a bottling foreman, before retiring after 32 years.

He will be remembered for his love and devotion to his family. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed sight seeing, traveling and was an avid movie goer. He loved taking his grandchildren to the movies and spending time with family. He was a true definition of a family man.

He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years Marianne Miller, and two daughters Laura (Tony) Perri of Grand Junction, CO and Carla (Lupe) Hernandez of Ripon, CA, a sister Marcia Herzfeld of Stockton, a brother Ron (Karen) Miller of Ripon, six grandchildren Ashleigh and Alyssa Perri; Lupe, Vincent, Mariah and Olivia Hernandez. Mother-in-law Mary Slikker, uncle Curt Holley, aunt Velva Parks and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Morris and Laverne Miller, brother Norman Miller and sister Connie Kirby.

He will be greatly missed by all, especially for his generosity that was never ending.
