John Sirley, 83, entered into rest on Aug. 14, 2009 in Manteca. He was born on June 5, 1926 in Calexico, California. He was a resident of Manteca for the past 3 years. John joins his wife in heaven Dorothy Sirley, as well as his daughter, Margaret Sirley.

Mr. Sirley is survived by his children Laura Canady of Manteca and John Sirley of San Leandro. He was blessed by 3 grandchildren Adam Canady and his wife Karen, Darrell Canady and Brian Canady.

John was a truck driver for Local 70 teamsters in Oakland, California, for over 47 years. John was a well-like man by everyone he encountered. His favorite passtime was his daily visit to Save Mart on W. Yosemite Avenue.
