Jose Angel Gallegos, 73, went to be with the Lord on July 20th from heart complications in Tracy surrounded by his family. He was born September 22, 1944 in Texas. Joe worked at the Tracy Defense Depot for more than 25 years and in his retirement he ran a successful lawn and gardening business.

   Joe was a loving father who worked hard to give his children a better life. In his younger years he loved to Drag Race and ride motorcycles.

   Mr. Gallegos was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Refugia (Peña) Gallegos. Jose is survived by his children, Andrea Blea, Joseangel (joey) Gallegos, Joe John Gallegos, and twins Gabriel Mena, and Krystal Mena. He also leaves behind his brothers Thomas Gallegos, Oscar Gallegos, Home Gallegos, and Luis Gallegos, his sisters Manuela Bleakney, Mauricia Garcia, Alice Van Bebber, Emily Hernádez, Herlinda Ahumada, Lucinda Garcia, and Christina Lanman, and seven grandchildren, Steven Shaffer, Manuel Gallegos, Alex Gallegos, Jeremiah Gallegos, Angelina Blea, Amelia Blea, and Emily Gallegos, and one great grandson Ryden Shaffer. Joe will be missed by his friends and family.

   P.L. Fry & Son Chapel is honored to be serving the Gallegos Family.  A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 2, 2018, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. with a rosary at 6:00 p.m. at P.L. Fry & Son Chapel, 290 N. Union Rd., Manteca.  Mass of Christian burial will be Friday, August 3, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 19399 E. Highway 120, Ripon.  burial will follow at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery, 17871 S. Carrolton Rd., Escalon. An online guest book is available for condolences at www.plfryandson.com.
