Jose “Phil” Martinez, 82, entered into rest on September 8, 2020 in Manteca, CA.  He was born in Colorado on April 29, 1938.
He is preceded in death by his 10 siblings and three children, Burt Martinez, Maurice Martinez and Fancy Martinez.
Mr. Martinez is survived by his loving family, wife of 38 years Katy Martinez, son Philip Martinez, grandchildren, Lucas Martinez, Kaicie Martinez, great-grandchildren, Liam, Easton, Ellie and Nova and his two sisters, Geri Campos and Gloria Chavira.
Phil proudly served his country through the United Sates Air Force. He retired as a commercial landscaper working  all over central California. He was an avid golfer where he traveled by RV to Utah for 17 consecutive years playing in the Huntsman World Senior Games. In Phil’s younger years, he enjoyed camping and boating with his children. He loved spending time with his wife Katy where they enjoyed the simple things such as day trips to Half Moon Bay followed by eating their favorite clam chowder soup by the water and short trips to local casinos hoping to win “the big one.” Phil will be remembered as a kind man who loved life. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
