Born November 17, 1934, Leroy Johnson, 81, entered into rest on November 16, 2015 the day before his 82nd birthday. He is preceded in death by his wife Norene Johnson.
   Mr. Johnson is survived by his loving family; children, Richard Johnson (Lori), Debbie Greenwald, Peter Herzog (Ruth) and Susan Crane. He was blessed by nine grandchildren; Cody, Kelsey, Trevor, Wade, Jennifer, Crystal, Nicole, Joshua and Michael, as well as, 10 great-grandchildren. In addition, Leroy was survived by one sibling Eileen Jensen Anderson Johnson.
   Leroy was a resident of Manteca for over 36 years. He proudly served his country through the United States Navy. Retiring as a supervisor, Leroy worked for Moorman Feed in French Camp for over 40 years. He was a member of the VFW-Ripon, Manteca and the Manteca Moose Lodge. He was a regular outdoors man enjoying camping, fishing and traveling; especially cruises. Socializing was one of Leroy’s greatest attributes as he had many friends through out his lifetime. He was a funny, sarcastic, cantankerous man who was always ready to tell the latest, greatest joke. Leroy will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be deeply missed.
