Lewis W. Fells Sr.
April 25, 1926-December 21, 2017
Lewis Fellsbw

Lewis W. Fells Sr., age 91, went home to be with the Lord on December 21, 2017 in Carmichael, CA.
Lewis was born in Nebraska and as a boy his family moved to Manteca, CA.
He and his siblings, four girls and six boys, were raised by his parents, Leonard and Lyda Fells.
Lewis is preceded in death by his wife Maria, his sisters Francis, Juanita, Ethel, Mary Lou, brothers Eddy, Bud, Harry, and Bob.
He is survived by his brothers Dick and Dave.  He is also survived by his seven children Liz Davidson (Randy), Frank Sanchez (Ruth), Leslie J. Fells, Lewis Fells II (Melissa), Raymond Fells (Anna), Thomas Fells, Scott Fells (Tess) and 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Lewis was a lifelong truck driver and mechanic. He used to say he was a “Jack of All Trades and a Master of None.”  Lewis was a colorful and animated character. He loved to tell stories, jokes, and the accomplishments of his seven children.  He loved his wife Maria and would sing her praises to anyone who would listen.  Like Lewis, she was a very hard worker.
He moved from Manteca to San Jose, where he met Maria and her two kids.  Together they had five more kids.  They then moved to Oroville to raise their seven kids in “God’s Country.”
Along the way he made many friends in Manteca, San Jose, and Oroville.  His humor and laughter were infectious and unforgettable to all who met him.
In memory of Dad and to honor his legacy, please share a chat with someone new and find the humor in your everyday life.
Lewis will be laid to rest with his beloved wife Maria on Friday, January 5, 2018 at 11:00 am at the Memorial Park Cemetery, 5646 Lincoln Blvd., Oroville, CA.  A graveside service will be conducted then.
