Lucian J. Cregor Jr died November 14, 2014 after a long illness. He was born in Fresno, CA, on August 27, 1937. Lucian had many careers. After his folks moved to Manteca, CA, he worked for Center Plumbing as a bookkeeper for 25 years. Lucian earned his general contractors license and continued to build and remodel homes. He also obtained his real estate license where he worked for Shields Realty from 1972 to1980. It was in the early 1980s when Lucian opened up Jim’s Plumbing and Electrical, he continued to remodel homes and restore Camero’s. Retiring from his business, he moved to Crescent City in 2002 where he continued to remodel homes and work on his cars. Lucian was a member of the Northern Knights Car Club.
Surviving family members is his partner of 23 years, Holly Nelson; sons Lucian Cregor III and wife Debbie; Joel Cregor and daughter Calisse Volz and husband Bill. Step daughters Heidi Nelson and Sarah Nelson. He leaves behind 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Lucian was preceded in death by his parents Geraldine and Lucian Cregor and wife DeAnn Cregor.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers contributions to the National
Psoriasis Foundation, 6600 SW 92nd Avenue, Suite 300, Portland, OR, 97223.
Memorial services will be held at Wiers Mortuary Chapel on Saturday,
November 22, 2014 at
11:00 am. And a second memorial service to be held in Manteca at a later date to be announced.
