Lucy passed away on Monday, March 29, at Prestige Assisted Living in Manteca at the age of 88. Born to Henry and Elvira Azevedo on December 1, 1921 in Ripon, Lucy continued living in Ripon for her entire life. She was a very loving and devoted sister and aunt who loved her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

 Lucy is survived by her siblings Mary and Alex Costa of Ripon, Rosie Fagundes of Manteca, and Joe and Joan Azevedo of Ripon as well as many nieces, nephews and godchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers Henry Azevedo and Tony Azevedo.

 Lucy’s visitation will be on Wednesday, March 31, from 3 to 7 p.m. at Deegan Ripon Memorial Chapel. Her Rosary will follow the visitation on Wednesday, March 31, starting at 7 p.m. at Deegan Ripon Memorial Chapel. Her Mass will be on Thursday, April 1, at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church with burial following at St. John’s Cemetery.  In loving memory please send donations to Hospice of San Joaquin or to the American Cancer Society.
