Margaret Louise Allen, 88, entered into rest on July 8, 2011 in Fresno, California. She was born on October 15, 1922, in Williston, North Dakota. She is preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Howard Allen, as well as her sisters Glenna, Angie and Vivian, and her brothers George and Lewis.

Mrs. Allen is survived by her children: Dennis Allen and his wife Pam of Clovis and Carol Giovannoni and her husband Dino of
Manteca.  She was blessed by four grandchildren: John Giovannoni, Don Giovannoni, Chanda Cangolosi, and Candice Marderosian. She also has nine great-grandchildren whom she adored: Brandon, Lane, Chase, Seth, Connor, Dominic, Skylar, Maizee, and Lennon. In addition, Margaret has one surviving sister Evelyn Miranda.

Margaret was a resident of Manteca for over 45 years.  Five years ago, Margaret moved to Clovis to be closer to her son, Dennis. While living in Manteca, she was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, where she was devoted to their many ministries. Margaret was full of life; she loved a great game of golf and was a member of a ladies’ bridge group that got together monthly for socializing and an enjoyable game of bridge.  She loved making the occasional drive to Chukchansi for fun and excitement. She was so thankful for the Senior Center of Clovis and her many friends she met there.  In addition, Margaret spent most of her free time with her daughter-in-law, Pam, where they shopped, went to lunch, and saw the latest movies.  While living in Clovis, Margaret was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Fresno, where she continued to be a devout Catholic by reading and praying daily.  Margaret will be remembered for her sweet spirit and her zest for life. She will be missed.
