Martin Thomas Latona Jr., 34, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at his home in Lathrop. He was born on April 15, 1977 in San Leandro.

Martin leaves behind his loving wife Tawnya Latona of Lathrop as well as his sons; Michael Taylor Latona (11) and Damien James Latona (4). He is the son of Patricia and step father Robert Dickhart of Lathrop.

Martin was a Bay Area native, but was a resident of Lathrop for 2 years. Martin was an inventory manager for Exel Logistics for 13 years. He was a hard worker and trust worthy; everyone could count on him for a helping hand. He was the life of the party, when Martin was around, you could be sure everyone was laughing. He never met a stranger as he had a true gift of making friends instantly. (To Martin, friends were family). He was a diehard Raider and Oakland A’s fan, never forgetting his Bay Area roots. He had a colorful personality, with no filter to let you know what he thought about you or a situation. Martin had a passion for shoes, trying to never wear the same pair twice. Martin had a love for a wide array of music and was a avid chess player. His children where his pride and joy. Tawnya was his wife and best friend, his true other half, or as many people said, the only person nice enough to love him unconditionally. Martin will be remembered for his laugh, personality and for the undying love he gave to all. He will be deeply missed.
