Melissa Johnson was born January 28, 1971 at French Camp Hospital in French Camp and passed away April 27, 2011 at Kaiser Hospital in Manteca.  Melissa is survived by her devoted husband Hugh Johnson; loving daughters Jessica (Marc) Corral, Nikki Johnson, and Kendra Johnson; precious granddaughter Isabella Grace Corral; loving parents Kenneth Nelson and Cathie Cramer;   siblings Daniel (Jackie) Nelson and  Amanda Nelson and nephew Andrew.  Melissa will be missed by her loving in-laws Shirley and Hubert Johnson, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, along with other family and friends.

Melissa worked for Manteca Unified School District as a food service employee for approximately seven years; she made a difference in many kids’ lives.  Melissa was an avid picture taker and enjoyed scrapbooking.  Melissa treasured her expansive Betty Boop collection and even named her beloved dog Pudsgy—after Betty Boop’s dog in the comic strip.

Melissa will be greatly missed by all.  Services will be held Saturday, April 30, 2011, at 2 p.m., at the Church of Christ in Ripon.
