Myra Lucas, 72, entered into rest on May 27, 2016 in Manteca, CA. She was born on March 29, 1944 in French Camp, CA. She joins her parents Walter and Elviera Rowell in heaven as well as her siblings Bernice Sarina and Antoinette Boling.
   Mrs. Lucas is survived by her loving husband of 52 years Arthur Lucas and their four children Christine Higby (Jerry), Michael Lucas (Jyzelle), Jeffrey Lucas (Erika) and Loretta Hoyer. She was blessed by nine grandchildren Geordie Higby, Kestra higby, Samuel Lucas, Levi Lucas, Kelsey Lucas, Megan Jojo, Joshua Lucas, Avery Hoyer and Addison Hoyer.   
   In addition, Myra is survived by her two siblings Celia Long and Bino Macedo. Myra was a Manteca resident. She graduated from Manteca High School class of 1962 and would marry her high school sweetheart. Myra had an early career at Manteca Hospital and later made her priority to her husband and children working hard as a homemaker raising her children and becoming the family babysitter. She was active in Calla 4-H, MRPS where she was past president with her husband Art in ‘95and ‘96, member of the UPEC, PFSA, Rio Vista/Isleton Portuguese Club, YLI and a devoted member of  St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. She enjoyed spending time with family BBQing, camping, traveling, fishing and any type of leisure outdoor activities. She loved a challenging game of bowling where she played on several different leagues throughout the years. In recent years she loved playing cards, watching her husband rebuild their old ‘68 and tinkering on the computer; learning “The Facebook.” Myra loved spending time with her favorite pet and companion “Paws” who never left her side. Myra will be remembered for her selfless personality, her giving heart and her caring spirit. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
   P.L. Fry & Son is honored to be serving the Lucas family. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 6, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. followed by a rosary/vigil at 7:00 p.m. at P.L. Fry & Son, 290 N. Union Rd., Manteca. Mass will be held on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 505 E. North St., Manteca, CA.
