Nell passed away peacefully at home on January 27, 2026, surrounded by love. She was 80 years old and leaves behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and service to her community.
Nell was born on June 9, 1945, in Savannah, Georgia to George Arthur Turner and Delores Smith. She later made her home in Manteca, where she lived for 52 years, becoming a familiar and steady presence in the community she called home. Nell lived a life rooted in care for others. She was the type of person who showed up for others — consistently, quietly, and wholeheartedly.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Miller, her daughters, Danell Hepworth (Jack) and Susan Wheet (Stephen), as well as her grandchildren, Michael (Kana), Brock (Kevin), Daniel, Janell, Nicole (Chris), Tyler, Justin, Elizabeth, and great–grandchildren (Leona, Kaden, Rowan, Natalie, Kobe, Joshua). She is also survived by her brother, Bill Turner and sister, Jean Turner–Bailey.
Those who knew her will remember her devotion to the Masonic family and her church. She was a Past Mother Advisor of Manteca Assembly, Past Grand Deputy for California Rainbow, and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She impacted the lives she touched, both in large and small ways, and her memory will live on in shared stories and traditions.
A service will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at 10:00am at Park View Funeral Home in French Camp, CA, with a gathering to follow at the Manteca Masonic Lodge.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the donor's favorite charity in Nell's honor.
