The former Orpha Mae Adams was born January 29, 1913 in San Bruno. She and her identical twin Viola were the first set of twins born in that city. Orpha was raised in San Francisco and Oakland. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 70 years, the late William W. Guilford, her twin sister Viola Anderson and her son Greggory W. Guilford.

She is survived by her daughter Billie J. Orpha taught elementary school for 25 years in Oakland before retiring and moving to South Lake Tahoe for 12 years, then to Palm Desert for 11 years and finally settled near family in Manteca.

While living in Manteca she volunteered as a pink lady at St. Dominic’s Hospital. She also made newborn baby bibs for the hospital. She enjoyed traveling, sewing, gardening, doing puzzles and spending time with family.
